The gap they were formed to close
Devon Energy Solutions was formed to close a specific gap: the distance between large loads and the utility interconnection process that governs them.
Those loads include data centers, industrial sites, critical infrastructure, and utilities.
The company positions itself as a single point of accountability — covering interconnection engineering, on-site generation and storage, protection and controls, procurement, construction, and commissioning.
Three paths to power
Its published approach combines three paths, often used together.
Faster grid interconnection is reverse-engineered against the utility’s real planning constraints — not a public hosting-capacity map alone.
On-site power through gas turbines, battery storage, and microgrids bridges phases that cannot wait on the queue.
Flexible and dispatchable load allows curtailment that supports utility approval without disrupting compute.
Leadership and group backing
Leadership brings interconnection, protection engineering, generation, and storage expertise.
The Devon International Group supplies manufacturing relationships, capital, and global execution.
Principal Engineer Peter Belkin’s public biography notes nearly sixteen years as a Principal Engineer at American Electric Power. Later roles spanned utility advisory, protection and commissioning, and substation engineering.
Modular generator portfolio
On-site generation is supplied through a modular portfolio built around the operating mode each project needs.
It spans diesel and HVO critical-power gensets from about 1,900 to 6,250 kVA, lean-burn natural-gas units from 63 to 1,750 kVA, the 16–20 MW GridForge 20 turbine block, and GridReserve battery storage — coordinated under one microgrid control platform.
